It's the OTHER side of the equals sign.
And it's really sad when one of the primary builds in this game is "runner" :/ |

Found this cool little code in a sticky. Enjoy . Also, what I found interesting is that Guild Wars Proffessions, don't really do what it says in print. |

Misconceptions given from seeing ill built or unseen skill use on part of mesmers. You won't know a good one made the kill. You'll just know something died. I've run a mesmer all over Tyria with just henchmen for company (why do players underestimate them so badly ). I've also been massacred by them in pvp arenas. Respect the unseen killer.....why do you think they have that smug grin on their faces all the time? |

And, apparently you must be misinformed about Mesmers(obviously you haven't played one by your comments). FYI they have the same armor rating as the other caster classes, 60. And with armor types like Noble, Virtuoso, and Rogue's, you will have increased armor. So you're wrong there. And about "generally useless pve skills," try out such skills as Ineptitude, Clumsiness, Empathy, Sympathetic Visage, Energy Surge, Cry of Frustration, Conjure Phantasm if you wish, and then tell us that Mesmers have "useless" PvE skills. With all due respects, you simply further along the typical stereotype about Mesmers by those who have never given them a chance. /rest my case Last edited by Rayne Nightfyre; Mar 14, 2006 at 04:10 AM // 04:10.. |

Also, to give you more accurate info on Elementalists and Mesmers Unknown_Gold...
Elementalist-focuses mainly on pure damage, especially along the Air and Fire lines. Air can cause a few status ailments, such as Blinding and Weakness, and Fire can cause Burning which degenerates health very quickly. Earth and Water have more "support" skills, yet can indeed hold their own as far as offensive capabilites goes. They have the ability to have very high energy, yet can exaust it rather quickly, so energy management is key. A rather easier class to play, yet does take a degree of skill to manage your energy, and also deal with the AoE(Area of Effect) panic. Mesmer-focuses on "shutting down" enemies, thus making it easier on the whole party. They also enjoy making enemies damage themselves by actions such as attacking or casting spells. Additionally, many skills are devoted to punishing foes for having energy, as well as even stealing their energy. They also have their share of HP dengeneration spells, and many skills that cause status ailments, such as Blinding, Deep Wound, and so on. Much of their damage goes unnoticed, but if your group is taking down enemies quickly, likely your Mesmer directly contributed to that. A very fun class to play, but takes some thought and preparation to be effective. So in summary, E=Nuker, Warder, Spiker Me=Shutdown, Energy Denial, Disruption (search around if you're unsure of the build types) I hope that helps clear things up a bit.
